V023: SPHENO-TUBERCULO-PLANUM MENINGIOMAS - TECHNICAL NUANCES

Standard procedures followed for naso-septal flap (NSF) and sphenoidotomy. Soft portion of the sphenoid tumor is dissection and peeled away from the underlying hyperostotic bone. Bone is drilled from normal to abnormal to carefully expose the cavernous sinus carotid and optic nerve. Suprasellar dura is opened in the usual fashion and the optic nerve dura is opened with angled blade. Closure with fascia and NSF.
