V035: INTERNAL CAROTID ARTERY TO M2 BYPASS AND CLIP TRAPPING FOR GIANT M1 ANEURYSM
Caroline Hadley; Laligam Sekhar, MD; University of Washington Department of Neurosurgery
We present the case of an eleven-year-old girl with two giant aneurysms of the M1 segment of the middle cerebral artery. We perform an ICA to M2 bypass using a saphenous vein graft, followed by clip trapping of the diseased M1 segment. We review pre-operative planning, anatomic considerations, and surgical technique.
