This session showcases illustrative case examples of highly challenging skull base reconstruction cases by experienced surgical teams. Rhinologists, head and neck oncologists, neurosurgeons, and trainees will benefit from this session.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this session, attendees will be able to:
- Recognize factors which make a specific skull base defect particularly challenging to reconstruct.
- Describe strategies and principles for effective skull base reconstruction when fewer options are available.
- Compare challenging factors across different defect sites and based on patient factors.
