Decision-making in vestibular schwannoma management is complex for both physicians and patients. This session will review ethical considerations, physician-patient communication, informed consent, and moving toward consensus on general management strategies as a field.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this session, attendees will be able to:
- Articulate ethical considerations in decision-making and patient communication.
- Describe the nuances associated with informed consent for complex skull base surgery.
- Recognize the importance of developing general guidelines for VS management.
