The North American Skull Base Society (NASBS) is proud to offer the Fred Gentili Travel Scholarship, designed to promote international collaboration and provide educational opportunities for residents who are interested in treating patients with skull-base pathology from around the world.
The Fred Gentili International Travel Scholarship aims to honor Dr. Fred Gentili by providing funding for trainees who wish to gain research experience in neuroscience and have early exposure to the field of skull base surgery.
This scholarship will be awarded annually to citizens / physicians / trainees from countries other than USA, Canada, and Mexico. The scholarship includes:
- $3,000 in travel funds (Any additional travel expenses will be the responsibility of the grantee)
- Complimentary registration to attend the Pre-Meeting Dissection Course
- Complimentary registration to attend the Annual Meeting
- Complimentary hotel accommodations during the Annual Meeting
- An opportunity to spend one week as a Visiting Resident and guest at an NASBS member’s institution immediately following the Annual Meeting
- Once the observership is complete participants will be asked to share their experience on the NASBS website.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a citizen of a country outside of North America (International trainees who are currently working or studying in the USA are not eligible).
- Must be actively training in a residency or fellowship in a skull base surgical program located outside of North America.
- Must not have previously attended a NASBS Annual Meeting
