Laboratory Research Opportunities | The fellow participates with the senior staff in all decisions relative to surgical decision making, beginning in the clinic and proceeding through surgery and postoperative care. Neurosurgical residents and medical students are also assigned to the team providing the Skull Base Surgery fellow opportunity to enhance his or her teaching skills. The fellow will also be faculty for multiple skull base dissection-based courses during the year. The fellow is encouraged to attend advanced sessions sponsored by the Comprehensive Cancer Center and to participate in other activities of the Department as well as associated Departments. In addition, we request participation in clinical research activities, along with dissection-based research in the Anatomical Laboratory for Visuospatial Innovations in Otolaryngology and Neurosurgery (ALT-VISION). |
