Foreign Medical Graduate Candidates must have completed neurosurgical training in their home countries and passed all three steps of the USMLE examination.

Under the direction of Dr. Peris Celda and Dr. Luciano Leonel we have a state of the art anatomic microdissection laboratory. Dr. Peris Celda was one of Dr. Rhoton's fellows for two years in Gainesville, Florida and has brought the techniques to Rochester to start an equivalent training program. Fellows have the ability to participate in the lab for both training and anatomic research for publication. Fellows have the opportunity to extend their fellowship for a year and do exclusively anatomic research if they desire.

There are no specific basic science research opportunities during the one year training period. This is a clinical fellowship.
